Our family is summed up by these outdated Christmas pictures (but they'll always come back into season so if you're reading this and its almost Christmas - WOOHOO). Its the 4 of us humans, 2 pups and 1 fish that make up this family of mine! How we get our DIY projects done and keep this house together is beyond me.
I have always had a passion for design and thinking outside of the box to fix problems. When we bought our first home in 2012 we honestly had to DIY everything because it wasn't in the budget to hire anyone else to do it. We fell in love with getting our hands dirty and saving money by putting some sweat equity in. There is nothing like the feeling after finishing a project you were able to do yourself! Being a stay at home Mom for 5 years also meant needing to live on a budget which has taught me a tons of tricks on how to save money on projects big and small and also how to score design items for cheap. I am a dreamer with a passion in design so I am constantly thinking about the next project we can DIY to make our house a perfect home. My husband is an Engineer so my artsy brain dreams it up, his math and science design it, we build it and then we do it all over again.
